This policy explains what information the CaddieIQ app and website handle, why, and the choices you have. CaddieIQ is operated by Omnivia Apps. If you have any questions, contact us at omniviaapps@gmail.com.
The short version: your rounds, scores and stats live on your device. We don't sell your personal data. AI coaching sends only the relevant shot context to a processing service to generate advice, and optional anonymous analytics help us improve the app — you can turn those off.
Information we handle
- On-device data. Your rounds, scores, shots, club distances, settings and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- Location. With your permission, your device location is used on-device to measure distances and to load the correct course maps. We don't track your location in the background.
- Course data. Course maps and hole information are provided through a third-party golf course data provider (iGolf).
- AI coaching. When you ask the AI caddie a question, the relevant shot or swing context is sent through our secure server to an AI processing service (Google Gemini) to generate a response. This context is used to answer your request and is not used to identify you.
- Purchases. Subscriptions and any in-app purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play and a subscription manager (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription status, not your payment-card details.
- Optional anonymous analytics. If you opt in, we collect aggregate, pseudonymous usage and performance data to improve the app. This contains no information that identifies you, and you can turn it off in settings.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your personal data with advertisers for profiling.
- We do not require you to create an account to use the core features.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to deliver parts of the service — including Google (AI processing and app infrastructure), iGolf (course data), RevenueCat (subscription management) and the Apple App Store / Google Play (distribution and payments). These providers process data only as needed to provide their service.
Data retention & deletion
On-device data remains until you delete it. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. To request deletion of any data associated with you, email omniviaapps@gmail.com.
Children
CaddieIQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK/EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact omniviaapps@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
